Bootcamps
Kay Coulson, founder of Elective Medical Marketing and industry leader in elective vision practice development, is offering step-by-step training that will increase your elective lens upgrades.
This is not a lecture where you’ll sit back and listen to practice management theory. This is a hands-on session where you’ll learn what to do, and then you’ll personalize materials provided so that they work for your practice. You’ll leave with a flash drive containing all tools necessary to train your staff and begin increasing elective IOL conversions immediately.

The Lens Implant Opportunity
Where is your lens volume and conversion? Where do you want to be with elective lenses financially and procedurally? How can you identify and reconcile the gap so the goal is clear and success measurable?
You’ll leave with a Practice Performance Assessment with fee, conversion and procedure targets.
Structuring Your Practice to Succeed
How does the in-office experience of your patients compare to practices succeeding with Lifestyle IOLs? We’ll evaluate your environment, explain the difference between silo and block scheduling, consider fees and share staff compensation systems that align with procedure goals.
You’ll leave with an appointment scheduling template and elective compensation system for your staff.Staffing the Lens Team
What role should each practice staff member assume in your practice to increase lens implants? We’ll provide specific responsibilities, from front desk personnel to technician, surgeon to scheduler, that ensure every step is optmized.
You’ll leave with a staff training presentation clearly defining responsibilities for each team member.
Patient Education is Not a Brochure
Involving patients in the discussion of the vision they want for life is complicated. You’ll learn key steps on the phone, before the visit, during the exam, with the surgeon and during scheduling to ensure patients feel informed and comfortable with their lens choice.
You’ll leave with personalized chart forms and patient education material requirements.
Sharing Your Success
Your job is not finished when the patient has surgery. We’ll cover ways to capture and share patient results to generate more powerful referrals. We’ll detail
traditional and online media that allow you to share testimonials, gather satisfaction results and encourage patient advocacy.
